Fight Blight Bmore is launching an Ambassador Program in October 2020 at the Harlem Park Recreation Center, 700 N. Calhoun St. Baltimore, MD 21217. The program will provide training on how we each can #UnblightTheBlock. We will engage in group ideation to develop plans on how to address issues of blight in our communities without gentrification using restorative and reparative practice. This program is aimed at supporting our efforts at building beloved community.
The launch event will include:
an imagination space for children to create ideation plans for their vision for community and innovation space for youth to work on smart tech for better living
presentations on estate planning, cooperative development, collective buying and innovative living models
a display on the connection between bight and litter with a plan for how to reduce litter in community via The American Beverage Association’s Every Bottle Back Campaign
a mini Hood Hike to see the challenges and triumphs in the community development efforts in and around Harlem Park
